Archive Collection Information
Archive Maintenance
We have a highly skilled and immensely experienced Seattle theater technician on staff.
The projectors have weekly scheduled maintenance to maintain the proper operation of the projection and sound equipment.Â
We keep the temperature and humidity low to the Eastman Kodak recommendations. These low temperatures and humidities help keep the film and projectors in a favorable state.

Environment & Storage
There are around 1000 films in this archive with release dates ranging from 1930 to 2016. Over the years we have been offered or have had at one time in the collection most of the classic Hollywood films made after 1951. Since this is a privately owned and privately operated archive, we do not disclose the current film inventory.
All our films are kept in a cool, low humidity, environment to prevent deterioration of the acetate film. Higher temperatures and humidity can be the greatest enemy to films that are stored together. Most of the films stored horizontally and kept on either 2000-foot reels or film cores. To make projection of them much easier, some of the films are stored on 38-inch reels. Due to the special storage vaults, it is problematic to take pictures of the films in our collection.
